About HBE
FAMILY VALUES ARE AT THE HEART OF HBE
Founded in 1970, HBE is not just a business – it’s a legacy built on timeless family values. From generation to generation, we’ve worked to infuse every project with a sense of familial pride based on principles of integrity, dedication, and respect.
For the past 46 years, our commitment to the development and maintenance of these standards has gained us the unequivocal trust of local contractors and developers.
DEEP LOCAL ROOTS
With licenses held in both North and South Carolina, we boast local roots while serving a broader geographical expanse. Established in Charlotte, NC, we’ve expanded our reach to meet the diverse needs of clients across the region, blending our intimate knowledge of local regulations and conditions with the capacity to tackle projects on a larger scale. Whether wiring a small business or electrifying expansive industrial complexes, our commitment to quality craftsmanship and personalized service ensures that every client receives the same exceptional level of care and expertise.
PROUD MINORITY-OWNED STATUS
At HBE, we pride ourselves on our status as a woman-owned minority business. Led by Jerri Latour, HBE’s owner, our commitment to inclusivity and empowerment extends toward fostering a workplace culture that celebrates diversity and drives innovation. We believe diversity isn’t just a goal – it’s a competitive advantage.
HBE is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC) and is also certified as a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) with the State of North Carolina through the Statewide Uniform Certification (SWUC) program.
